Lessons learned from software engineering

Using software engineering has made developing the game a much easier task. Especially by utilizing inheritance for items and enemies that can be grouped together. It makes creating new items or enemies simple with only a few changes to be made. During earlier development, I was always recreating everything from scratch. Even if some things were almost exactly the same as each other like enemies. It caused a lot of slow down due to this. But now that I am applying software engineering, this has sped up the process for testing and balancing the game.
